2022 - Present

Staff Reporter

I write for both the News and Lifestyles section at the Ball State Daily News, meeting deadlines and appearing in many print editions as well as event coverage for the online format. I have experience taking my own photos at events and also have experience with the Adobe Creative Suite.

2023 - Present

Academic Peer Mentor

I create and facilitate academic based events for the College of Communication, Information and Media (CCIM) Living-Learning community, marketing myself as a resource for my residents and fostering a community in which students can network, learn and grow.

Sports Girls Club Events Intern

I assist in researching and reaching out to potential vendors, sponsors, speakers, and partner companies for upcoming company events, support the development of event outreach materials, including sponsor decks, vendor info packets, and speaker communication. I also contribute to the marketing strategy for upcoming events, helping to brainstorm and execute ideas to build awareness and engagement. I assist in writing and designing content for event-focused newsletters, keeping attendees, partners, and the community updated with relevant details. I help manage and update internal event tracking documents, timelines, and task lists to keep event planning on schedule. I also ensure all outreach and materials are aligned with the company’s branding, tone, and goals for the event.

Journalism Intern

I evaluated the Tools: Downloads & Guides section of the Nonprofit Support Network website. With NSN and community organizations, I determined the most desired practices and tools. researched resources in alignment with these desires and, when appropriate, branded items using the NSN Brand Guide. The project culminated in the Tools section of the website being updated and a press release written announcing the updated tools.

2024 - 2024

Social Media Manager

Through a semester long course, my class and I controlled the BSU SJSC official accounts. We planned, created and posted content, analyzing activity to better understand our audience. I redesigned and updated the SJSC LinkedIn account as a personal project. I also ran the social media account for our travel writing study abroad trip with the rest of my classmates during the summer semester. We produced and posted content to keep followers up to date on our travels and gave them a glimpse into each country and city we traveled to.

Editor-in-Chief

I was Editor-in-Chief of my high school newspaper, the Charger Online. I wrote and edited articles as well as redesigned the entire website. I would also schedule stories to post and I ran our social media.
